Relationship and Sex Education (RSE)

Relationship and Sex Education is taught from Reception to Year 6. For each year group there are two/three lesson objectives that are taught during the summer term.. We have worked with parents, staff and governors to make sure the content of lessons are appropriate. This was done through consultation questionnaires. After listening to parents and staff, we have agreed to remove the non-statutory (sex education) section of the curriculum. As this was the only non-statutory section, parents do not have the right to withdraw their child/children from any other aspects of the curriculum.  You will find our RSE policy on our website.
