Each week children in Reception are visiting the Soanes Centre and the forest. They are looking for minibeasts, digging, and making homes together with their friends. They are climbing (through) short trees and learning about the different plants in the forest. The children have been inspired by the 'swamp' in the forest to make their own pond back at school, with stones and filling it with water! They have worked brilliantly with their friends.

They have seen many different creatures, including a lovely green caterpillar who was quite big and who moved very fast climbing up the tree!

"The school's work to promote pupils' personal development and welfare is outstanding. As one pupil noted, 'this is a very sophisticated school'."
